A quick look-in on a stormy morning in St. Paul, and a couple discovered items:
First, the Charles Van Doren piece from The New Yorker is available online.
Second, do not miss this excellent AV Club interview with the amazing Melissa Leo. Her portrayal of Kay Howard on Homicide: Life on the Street not only opened doors for depicting lady characters in unglamorous, gritty, real-world roles with responsibility, but she also opened new doors for ladies with hair like mine. For that, I'll always be grateful.
