Today's when the annual Orgy of Commerce (tm) tends to take place. But it don't involve me, friends. Nope, I'm leaving the insanity to other people. As I'm fond of saying, this is the time of year when I exercise my right to electronic commerce.
So it wasn't me among the throngs waiting for the Black Friday insanity outside the stores and malls this morning. Nope, instead I slept late this morning. It was a good deal, too. For the second night in a row, I had a dream in which I was in my beloved Matanuska-Susitna Valley, and it was a happy dream. I think I got the better end of the bargain there. (Even happier is that next month, I'll get to have those dreams while I'm actually there. But that's another story for another day.)
With those happy thoughts in my head, I'm going to enjoy the rest of the day, doing things that need to be done around here -- and enjoy the rest of the long weekend too, for it's back to the salt mine on Monday.
