A couple of updates on this morning's technical problems with Facebook:
Facebook Confirms Bug Disabled User Accounts; Fix In Progress (from Read Write Web)
Female Facebook User Accounts Accidentally Disabled, Being Restored (from All Facebook)
I had best find my account the way it was when I left it last night, if you please. I'd best not be short a single friend, photo or one-liner.
And for Facebook, if you're reading this: You're a grown-up, $41 billion company. And as one of the "very small percentage" (ha!) of users who was affected, I'm not very happy with you right now. And if this kind of business ever happens again, don't be surprised if Darlene, Megan, Sarah, Tina and I come find you. And let's just say ladies don't like it when you take Facebook away, and leave it at that.
Once again, to the four of you who wrote in this morning, thanks for letting me know it wasn't just me. I hope you're all back up and running as normal very soon. Meanwhile, I'm seriously considering moving all my technological needs to that Selectric III I keep in the other room for these kinds of emergencies. At least that one, I know how to fix.
